Boiler Scrappage Scheme
Boiler Scrappage Scheme

Claim your £400 government boiler scrappage allowance with JD Geerings
If you have a G-rated boiler or below, the chances are it's less than efficient. That's why JD Geerings is ready to help you replace it with the government £400 boiler scrappage discount.
This scheme is now being launched and will be called the 'Greener Boiler Initiative'. It allows consumers with qualifying Band G boilers to be able to claim back £400 of the installation costs of a new high efficiency boiler. The scheme will be administered by the Energy Saving Trust, which will process the applications and approve the money back claims.
Is my boiler G rated?
The following examples can help to identify whether you have a Band G boiler:
- For floor standing boilers: Pre 2002 with permanent pilot ignition
- Wall mounted boilers: Pre 2002 with cast iron heat exchanger and permanent pilot ignition
- Combi boilers: Pre 1998
- Back boilers: Pre 2002
- Flue: It is believed that a boiler installed with an open flue is likely to be a band G boiler
In addition, OFGEM (Office of Gas and Electricity Markets) has a list of all manufacturers' band G boilers on their website: www.ofgem.com.uk
But thats not all
As well as the 'Greener Boiler Initiative', Worcester will be offering any of our customers who take advantage of the boiler scrappage scheme the added benefit and peace of mind of an additional one year's warranty worth over £100 (above and beyond your current warranty entitlement) on any Greenstar boiler.
